Evelyn B. Stahmann, 84, of Route 1, Van Dyne, died peacefully, on Monday June 27, 2011, at home.
She was born on July 14, 1926, in the Town of Eldorado, a daughter of Edward and Esther Frederick Bloedow. Evelyn attended Maple Grove School.
On February 1, 1942, she married Arnie A. Stahmann in North Fond du Lac.
Evelyn was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Eldorado.
Evelyn worked at Bell’s Restaurant for 20 years, and also worked part-time at Miles Kimball from 1982-1997. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing cards. She also enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers.
She is survived by seven children: Shirley (Leland) Hoppe, Bonnie (Lyle) Stratton, Kathy Piehl (special friend Walter), Donna Thompson, Dale ( Debra) Stahmann, Kevin (Dolly) Stahmann, And Brian (Charleen) Stahmann; a son-in-law, August Kollmann; 16 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren, step=great grandchildren, step-great-great-grandchildren; special friend, Ruth Dins; Jim ( Sharon) Nitschke, together with many other special nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Arnie on August 11, 202; two daughters; Dianne (David) Ebert, and Helen Kollmann: two infant granddaughters; Jennifer and Deborah Thompson; a sister, Lucile Nitschke; and three brothers; Edward “Tom”, Kenneth, and Eldor Bloedow.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, 2011, at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, N7987 Town Hall Road, Eldorado, with Rev. Aaron Okya officiating. Burial will follow in Rosendale Cemetery.
The visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, June 29, 2011, at Mach Funeral Chapel & Crematory, 31 East Division Street, Fond du Lac, and on Thursday at church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service.’
