Michael G. Stine, age 62 of Rhinelander, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2018, at his home and in the company of his family. He was born May 18, 1955, in Merrill, to Edwin Sr. and Grace (West) Stine.

Following graduation, Mike served in the U.S. Army for 20 years and was stationed in Germany. Following his honorable discharge, he moved to Pennsylvania and then returned to Wisconsin in 2012. Mike enjoyed shooting pool (for Sammy's in Rhinelander), pitching horseshoes, and cooking with his grandson, Dustin. He will be fondly remembered for the meticulous care and attention he directed at his yard.

Mike is survived by his wife, Eunice Beatty of Rhinelander; his daughter, Jenny Scholer of Germany; stepdaughter, Claudia Fuhrmann of Germany; Eunice's children, Kim (Jesse Plautz) of Arizona, Calvin (Jenny Dixon) Beatty of Rhinelander, and Robert (Tabitha) Beatty of Rhinelander; his grandchildren, Liesa, Laura, Lena, Cassandra (Aaron Saari), Dustin, Jaydin, Brooklyn, and Maci; brother, Steven (Laurel) Stine of Merrill; two sisters, Debbie (Steve) Hart of St. Johnsville, N.Y. and Lahina Stine of Leggett, Texas; aunts and uncle, Marie Krueger of West Bend, Judy Stine of Merrill, Lori Stine of Merrill, and Chuck Minesal of West Bend; nieces, nephews, and cousins including special nephew, Todd Alsteen; and his cats, Bella and Midnight.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Andreas, and a brother, Edwin Stine Jr.

A graveside service with military honors will take place at noon Monday, Feb. 12, 2018, at Forest Home Cemetery in Rhinelander. Please meet at the cemetery. Carlson Funeral Home (715-369-1414) is assisting with arrangements and condolences for the family may be directed at www.carlsonfh.com.
