She was born March 31, 1948 in Louisa, KY a daughter of the late Raymond and Florine Thompson Ferguson.
Judith was a member of the Church of Christ in Huntington, WV.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Irvin Newton; two sisters, Jane Butler and Jo Jackson and two brothers, J.C. Ferguson and Dick Ferguson.
She is survived by one son, David Newton (Sherry); three sisters, Debbie Falls (Keith), Nancy Robertson (Willie Ray) and Carol Houchin (Bill); one brother, Willis Ferguson (Mary Sue); five grandbabies, Allyson Smith (Connor), Sydney Newton, David Newton, Quaid Mosley (Tiffany) and Cole Mosley (Chasity); one great-grandchild, Rowyn Mosley.
Judith’s passion in life was spending time with her grandbabies, and every moment she spent with them brought joy to her life. She felt that her purpose in life was to take care of others and ensure their happiness, well-being and to try to always leave a smile on their face. Her smile and laughter brightened the room and will truly be missed. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
