Mr. Johnny W. Simmons Jr., age 75 of Franklin, formerly of Lewisburg, died January 30, 2018 at Southern Care Assisted Living in Franklin.

Mr. Simmons was a graduate of Marshall County High School, the son of the late John Wesley Sr. and Wilma Harwell Simmons. After obtaining a Master’s degree from MTSU, he was employed as a systems analyst for Deloitte. He locally attended the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Suzanne Lela Blackburn Simmons in April 2018. He is survived by one daughter, Sheryl Janine “Sherry” (Jeff) Willhelm of Spring Hill, one granddaughter, Dalaney Grace Willhelm, and a mother-in-law, Melba T. Blackburn of Lewisburg.

Funeral services will be conducted at the First United Methodist Church of Lewisburg, with burial to follow at Lone Oak.
