Nancy H. Hale, 77, of Beloit, WI, died Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at Beloit Memorial Hospital.
She was born September 23, 1941 in Marshfield, WI, the daughter of John F. and Helen R. (Johnson) McConnell. Nancy graduated from Blackhawk Technical College in 1994 with her High School Equivalency Diploma. Nancy married Donald A. Cowell on December 8, 1960 in St. Thomas Catholic Church, Beloit, WI. She later married Charles L. Hale on June 15, 1974 in Emmanuel Baptist Church. He predeceased her in 2010.
Nancy was formerly employed by Caravilla, Nursing Home as a Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator, retiring in 1987. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, watching game shows and murder mysteries.
Survivors include her children, Connie Cowell of Beloit, WI, Steve (Judy) Cowell of Austin, IN, Helen (Randy) Crary of Beloit, WI, Jamie (Ron) Colborn Jr. of Beloit, WI, Daniel Cowell of MN, Robert (Karen) Cowell of Childress, TX and John Hale of Beloit, WI; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; sisters, Kathy Wilson, Charlene McConnell, Judy (Kim) Hansberry, Cheryl (Albert) Kitzman, and Joanne Pratesi; brother, John Scott McConnell; numerous nieces and nephews; and her cat, Boots.
She was predeceased by her parents, two brothers, James and Steven McConnell; sister, Karen McConnell; nephew, Dante Pratesi and a niece, Trista Hansberry.
Funeral service for Nancy will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 8, 2019 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Inurnment will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery. Visitation of remembrance will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Friday in the funeral home.
