Leo Edwin Carter returned home to his Heavenly Father Monday, February 4, 2019. Leo was born in Lindon Utah on January 2, 1927 to Orval Lorenzo and Caroline Shoell Carter. He was the 2nd of twelve siblings.

He attended Pleasant Grove High School when he was drafted into the Army. They gave him a deferment to finish high school. He graduated in 1945. He met his future wife, Doris Nelson, at a dance at BYU. They were married for time and all eternity in the Manti Utah LDS Temple on March 11, 1955. They are the parents of 8 children, Brian (JaNae) Carter, Scott Carter, David (Karen) Carter, Jeffrey (Ana) Carter, Peggy (Boyd) Rhoades, Keith Carter, Judy (Shaun) Orton and James (Ronelle) Carter; 32 Grandchildren and 50 Great Grandchildren; siblings: Melba Houtz, Leonard, Leland, LeRoy, Gene, Joyce Smith, Carolyn Peacock and Gary. He was preceded by his parents and siblings: Dale, Boyd, and Earl.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lindon 19th Ward Chapel, 731 East Center Street, Lindon. Family and friends may attend a viewing Friday evening from 6:00 -8:00 p.m. at Olpin Family Mortuary, 494 South 300 East, Pleasant Grove and also at the church on Saturday from 9:30-10:45 a.m. prior to services.

Interment will be in the Lindon City Cemetery with military honors conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4918.
