Nina was born to Benjamin Michael and Florence Lucille (Pierce) Nall . She was raised and schooled in Wichita, KS. Nina met the love of her life, John J. Griffin Jr. and they were later married on March 14, 1953 at McConnell Air Force Base Chapel in Wichita, KS.
Since John was in the US Air Force, they made their home in several different locals, from as far north as Alaska to Florida, and New York to California, and many Air Force Bases in-between, settling in Bellevue, NE in 1985.
Nina and John built their dream home at Osage Ranch in Plattsmouth, NE in 2005 and they have resided there since.
She graduated from the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) with a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts. Nina was a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, artist, and a quilt maker.
She was a Charter Member of the Bellevue Artist's Association, and belonged to the Major Isaac Sadler-La Belle Vue Chapter of the DAR, the P.E.O. (chapter at large), as well as the Omaha Chapter of the NLAPW (National League of American Pen Women).
