Funeral to Be Conducted at Gooch Memorial Church at 2:30 P.M. Tuesday
Stricken ill three days earlier Mack L. Fowler, 53, died unexpectedly at his home in Stem at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
A native and life-long resident of the community in which he resided. Fowler was the son of Mrs. J.R. Fowler of Stem and the late Mr. Fowler. He was engaged in farming and was a member of Gooch Memorial Primitive Baptist Church.
The funeral is to be conducted at Gooch Memorial Church at 2:30 p.m. today, Tuesday by Elder D.V. Spangler of Danville, Va. Burial is to follow in Bullock Cemetery.
Surviving in addition to his mother are his wife, Mrs. Lillian Gooch Fowler; a son, Bryant Fowler of the home; two daughters, Mrs. Robert Gordon and Mrs. Jerome Everett, both of Oxford; two brothers, J.M. Fowler of Durham and Cortez Fowler of Stem; two sisters, Mrs. R.O. Stem of Creedmoor, and Mrs. Nelson Coley of Stem; also a grandson.
