He was born October 11, 1943 in Pleasant Hope, Missouri, the son of Homer and Margerette (Burns) Hoffman. On July 22, 1966 in Dinuba, California, he was united in marriage to Hazel Holman, who preceded him in death on February 20, 2015. Also preceding him in death were his parents and one grandson, Cory Hoffman.
Survivors include three sons, Jerry Hoffman, Jr. and his wife Christy of Exeter, Missouri, Lee Hoffman of Cassville, Missouri and Myron Hoffman and his wife Shawna of Monett, Missouri; two brothers, Homer Hoffman, Jr. of Monett, Missouri and Tim Hoffman of Purdy, Missouri; two sisters, Linda Hoffman of California and Sally Felice of Oregon; six grandchildren, Erika Stewart and her children Taylor and Anna of Exeter, Missouri, Kaitlyn Harrison and her husband Caid and their son Ayden, Celeste Hoffman, Cecilia Hoffman, Caleb Hoffman and Gabriella Hoffman, all of Monett, Missouri.
Jerry received his education in Haywood, California. Before moving to Missouri he was an electrical switchboard builder for Safety Switchboard in California. He had also been employed as a truck driver. He was a member of Mt. Olive Southern Baptist Church in Cassville.
Cremation arrangements are under direction of Fohn Funeral Home in Cassville. Burial will be at a later date at Gunter Cemetery in Butterfield.
