Bettie J. Tissue White, 95, of Vanderbilt, passed away peacefully Sun. Jan. 20, 2019 in the Scottdale Manor, East Huntingdon Twp. She was born Nov. 16, 1923 in South Connellsville a daughter of the late Filbert and Margaret M. Jaynes Tissue, Sr.
Bettie had been a resident of Vanderbilt since 1940 and was a member of the Vanderbilt Church of Christ. She also had been a member of the Lee Etta Lodge and the Edison Lodge.
Bettie is survived by several loving nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
In addition to her parents Bettie was predeceased by her husband Oliver D. White, her sisters Pearl Kish and Janet Brooks, and her brother Filbert Tissue, Jr.
Family and friends will be received Tue. from 6-8 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St., Connellsville (724-628-1430) where a Funeral Service will be held Wed. at 11:00 AM, with Minister Greg Pelc officiating.
