Margaret was the daughter of Charles Miller and Mary Patterson Miller; wife of Marlin Rhoads; and mother of Grace Rhoads Taylor. Her father worked at the shipyard in Baltimore and was the head of a large Miller family.

Margaret died in November 1965. Services were conducted at the Heeman Funeral Home on Harford Road. Surviving were four sisters, Catherine Miller, Madeline Warner, Sara McFaul and Dorothy Kirby; and two brothers, Raymond and Morris Miller.
