Obituary for Mr. Chad Stewart

Chad Stewart, age 23, passed away on Friday, February 1, 2019 in Adams, Tennessee.

Chad was born on March 22, 1995 in Hopkinsville, Kentucky.

Chad enjoyed the outdoors. He can be remembered as a good guy. If he loved you, he loved you; if he was your friend, you had a friend until the end. He had a large collection of shoes and he loved snapbacks. He cherished greatly the life that he had been blessed with.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Runell Keith and Jerry Waites; great-great grandmother, Lea Carter.

Chad is survived by his wife, Tara Stewart; sons, Jayce Stewart and Macyn Stewart; his dad, Jayson Stewart (Blair); mother, Michelle Holland; step-mother whom had an important role in his life, Tiffany Stewart; brother, Brad Stewart and sister, Joslyn Stewart. He is also survived by a host of relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 6, 2019 from 10 am until the time of the service at 12 pm at the Cook-Webb Funeral Home, 216 West Park Street – Guthrie, Kentucky 42234.

Spring Hill Funeral Home & Cemetery, 5110 Gallatin Road, Nashville, Tennessee 37216, has been entrusted with the final care of Mr. Stewart.

nvestigators with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office have arrested a man involved in a fatal shooting.

The incident occurred in the 4000 block of McGregor Rd at approximately 6:18 p.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019.

Matias Dudley aka TEZ, 18, was taken into custody and charged with criminal homicide.

According to witnesses, the victim approached a vehicle Dudley was a passenger in when he opened fired. As the victim attempted to flee for his safety, Dudley exited the vehicle and pursued the victim on foot. Dudley continued to fire multiple rounds at the victim, fatally wounding him.

Working with witnesses throughout the night, Investigators were able to determine a suspect and possible locations where the suspect may have fled. Working with Clarksville Police Department and the Kentucky State Police Dudley was taken into custody at approximately 2:00 a.m. on Holiday Drive.

Dudley is being held without bond.

Based on information gathered by investigators, this is an isolated incident and the victim and suspect knew each other.
