Mrs. Vickie Jean Beecher Little, 61, of Polkton, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at Hospice Haven in Rockingham.
Vickie was born October 21, 1949, in Terre Haute, Ind., a daughter of Colleen Guire Beecher and the late James Beecher.
An accomplished artist, she was well-known for her painting, sculptures and photography. Her creations have been published in both Red Book and Family Circle magazines and have been purchased all over the United States, Japan and Australia.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ted Little of the home; her son and daughter-in-law, Shawn and Melinda Little of Cleveland, N.C.; her daughter, Shea Lynn Little of the home; her grandchildren, Patrick and Shawn Robert Little; her brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Ellen Beecher of Indianapolis, Ind.; and her sister and brother-in-law, Diana and Phil Bird of W. Terre Haute, Ind.
At her request she will be cremated with no public services conducted.
