She was born November 17, 1940 in Memphis, TN to to Mildred Jennings and Rev. C.L. Franklin.

She was raised by her grandma Mrs. Cornelious Mayo Hill Berry.

She is proceeded in death by her parents and siblings: Aretha Franklin, Rev Cecil Franklin, Erma Franklin, Carolyn Franklin,Clark E Turner, and Charles E Jennings and daughter Vivian Smith.

She will be missed by her children: Herman E Wheatley III and Charles G Smith. Grandchildren: Alyssa, Rayden, Amaria, Herman IV, Justin, Tevin, Detric
Great-grandchildren: Ariya. Nieces and nephews: Sabrina, Thomas, Tiffany, Clarence, Edward, Ted, KeCalf, Emerson Owens

Services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, February 6 at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery.

She will be later laid to rest in Evergreen Washelli Cemetery, Seattle, Washington.
