Don Richardson, age 81, passed away on Monday, February 4, 2019.
He was born on August 31, 1937 in Clay County, AR to Earl and Ella Richardson. Mr. Richardson retired as a Master Sargent from the United States Air Force after twenty-two years. He retired from the Jackson County Port Authority after twenty-four years. He was a member of the Lemoyne Boulevard Baptist Church. He was a member of the St. Martin Lion’s Club and American Legion. He also volunteered for Boy Scouts and Little League. He was a TREA retired enlisted Person and served as a former volunteer fireman.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Ella Richardson; stepmom, Kate Richardson; sisters, Sue Beckham and Ann Knight; brother, Bill Richardson; and daughter, Donna Jo Richardson Green.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Richardson; son, Randy Richardson (Connie); daughter, Amanda Reid (Doyle); sister, Louise Gallegy; son-in-law, James Green (Wendy); granddaughters, Claire and Julia Richardson; grandson, Asher Reid; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on February 7, 2019 from 9:00 to 11:00 am with a 11:00 am service all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
