One of the 22 Founders of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Many of the first meetings of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority were held in her living room. She was extremely dedicated and studious and graduated from Howard in 1913 as Valedictorian and Class President.Edna Brown Coleman died during childbirth. Her baby, who died two days later, is also buried in the cemetery. She is buried in the cemetery with her father, Rev. Sterling N. Brown. She was one of 6 children born to her family. She was married to Frank Coleman, a Founder of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, until her death.
