Mrs. Janice Leonard Hayes, 74, formerly of Hammond Road, died Monday, February 4, 2019 at Piedmont Crossing in Thomasville, NC.
Born in Valdosta, GA; she was the daughter of the late Julian Bruce Leonard and Clafton Hinkle Leonard.
She graduated from NC School for the Deaf in Morganton and worked at the North Davidson Public Library for more than 20 years. She volunteered for the Davidson County Services for Deaf and Hard of Hearing, where she also served on the Board of Directors.
She was the wife of Johnny Buford Hayes, Jr. of the home.
