Benjamin Harrison Rowe, 83, Overbrook, died Saturday in a Lyndon nursing home where he had been about two months. He was born Oct. 24, 1887, at Grinnell, Iowa, and spent most of his life in the Scranton and Overbrook communities. He was a member of the United Methodist Church at Scranton. He was a retired farmer. He was married to Alice E. Black Aug. 29, 1917. She died Dec. 3, 1958. Survivors include a son, Rex Rowe, Denver; four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Paul, Lyndon, Mrs. Lena Murphy, Overbrook, Mrs. Geraldine Steele, Pomona, Mrs. Doris Peak, 520 Leland, Topeka; Two brothers, James Rowe, Overbrook, and Walter Rowe, Scranton; 25 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Services were held Nov. 30 at the United Methodist Church at Overbrook. Burial was in Scranton Cemetery. 12-3-1970
