Ernest "Ernie" Wright passed away January 9, 2019 in Alameda, CA, at the age of 53. He was born July 2, 1965 in Oakland, CA to parents Jane and Ernest Wright.
Ernest worked as a set developer after graduating from Arroyo High School in San Lorenzo. He was a member of IATSE Local 16. He loved to draw, and was an automotive and motorcycle enthusiast. He built a motorcycle from the ground up, and took it to Brooklyn, NY and Los Angeles for bike shows - it was even featured in magazines.
Ernest is survived by his partner, Janice Ramirez; parents Ernest and Alicia; and siblings Christina, Carlos, Mario, Yvette, and Fernando. He was preceded in death by his mother Jane.
Visitation for Ernest will be held from 4:00 - 8:00 PM on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Grissom's Chapel & Mortuary, 267 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo, CA. Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, also at Grissom's. Ernest will be laid to rest at St. Mary Cemetery, 4529 Howe St, Oakland, CA. Following services and interment, there will be reception at the San Lorenzo Homeowner's Association, 377 Paseo Grande, San Lorenzo, CA 94580.
