Michael Patrick Dugan was born March 10, 1972 in Fairfield, IA to Michael and Jeanni Boxx Dugan.

He graduated from Cardinal High School and furthered his education at the University of Iowa with a degree in Biology. Michael was very intellectual and enjoyed seeking out answers and learning from a very young age. Upon completing his first degree, he returned to the University of Iowa where he obtained his Doctor of Pharmacy Degree and began working as the pharmacy manager for K-Mart in Ottumwa. Michael loved his job and he loved helping people. Michael always looked at the world around him as a place to learn. He was always a biologist at heart and spent many hours in nature and along the river fishing and camping. When Michael would relax and watch TV it was almost always a cooking show. He loved to cook and spent time in his garden raising ingredients for his recipes. Michael embraced his Irish heritage and enjoyed anything Irish. He cared deeply for his family and friends and cherished the time he had with them. He loved to have fun and knew the value of laughter, which he shared with anyone he could. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends.

Michael was preceded in death by his grandparents; his parents, Michael and Jeanni Boxx Dugan, and an Uncle, Porky Boxx.

Left to share his story is his brother, Christopher (Anita) Elliot of Houston, TX; his nephew and neice, Nicholas and Katherine Elliott; his significant other, Denise Keasling-Radtke of Eldon, IA and her children, Makayla and Keegan, as well as many extended family and friends.
