Teresa Nelson, age 60, of Pierce City, MO died on Friday, January 04, 2019 at Mercy Aurora Hospital in Aurora, MO. Mrs. Nelson was born in Beebe, AR on Friday, January 24, 1958; the daughter of Robert and Rosa (Bechtel) Powell. She was married to Clarence Nelson on Saturday, March 27, 1982, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Monett, MO. Mrs. Nelson worked at Tyson Food before retiring and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Friestatt, MO.
Surviving are the following: her husband, Clarence of the home; two sons, Christopher of Pierce City, MO and Micheal of Springfield, MO; two sisters, Liz Welborn of Ormon Beach, FL and Helen Powell of Emporia, KS; one brother, Robert Powell of Emporia, KS; and her uncle, Joe Bechtel of the state of Texas. Mrs. Nelson was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Vandorn.
The family will receive friends at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt, MO on Friday, January 11, 2019, from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM. Memorial Services will follow visitation at Trinity Lutheran Church in Freistatt, MO on Friday, January 11, 2019, at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jake Sletten officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
