Obituary (from the Tribute Archive website):

Frances Rogers, 91 of Quinlan passed away in her daughter's arms, on Friday September 16, 2022.

She was born Mary Frances Pingleton on December 31, 1930, in McKinney to Webb and Vennie Pingleton. The 9th of 12 children, she graduated in 1949 from McKinney High school while in high school she excelled as a member of the Senior Girls Varsity Basketball team.

On a blind date in 1951, Frances met Brice Rogers. They married on January 5, 1952, in Durant, OK. They made their home in Mesquite, Texas in 1955 and lived there until their retirement in 1985.

Retirement brought them to Lake Tawakoni to waterfront property, they had owned since 1965. A new home was built, and a much-deserved lake retirement began.

Frances had a long career at Southwestern Bell Telephone. She held many positions and retired with 36 years 'of service.

In the late 1980's Frances was a member of the Hunt County Home Extension Club, where she served one term as President of the Quinlan Chapter. After retirement, Frances developed a fondness for puzzle books, cross stitching, quilt tops, and especially stained-glass art.

Frances was preceded in Death by her husband of 62 years, her parents and all brothers and sisters.

Frances is survived by her daughter Patricia Graham of Rowlett and Lake Tawakoni, granddaughter, Courtney Taylor and husband Kevin of McKinney, great grandson Collin Daniel Taylor of McKinney, and extended family and friends.
