Norman Charles Abrass, age 80, of Waterville, passed away on January 31st at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Perrysburg surrounded by family. Norm was born in Toledo, Ohio on February 18, 1938 to Joseph and Helen (Mierzjewski) Abrass. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1956. He was a Cain's Potato Chips delivery driver before entering into residential real estate sales for several years until retirement.

Norm was a talented local artist whose water color paintings were often on display in local libraries. His talents led him to become a member of the Monday Morning Painters. He will be remembered for his gardening and photography skills, cooking expertise, beautiful paintings, sense of humor and love of family. He often looked forward to family gatherings, especially at Byblos Restaurant, a family favorite. He would happily oblige when his grandchildren would request "Pa's Spaghetti" for their birthday dinners or when they wanted to go fishing. Travel was a big interest of his beginning with a trip out west after high school and then later to London with his wife, Anne, to see her family. The trip of his lifetime was to Lebanon with his brother, Joe, to visit the birthplace of their grandfather.

Norm is survived by loving wife of 56 years, Anne (Terry) Abrass; brother, Joseph D. (Linda) Abrass; children, Margaret, Norman, Kathleen, Brian (Hahn), and Caroline (Donnie Behnfeldt); grandchildren, Ellie (Corey), Emily, Olivia, Tate, Jack, Isabella, Ian, and Bria. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph and mother, Helen.

Private services are being arranged by Peinert Dunn Funeral Home of Waterville. Burial will be at the St. Joseph Parish Cemetery in Maumee, Ohio. In lieu of flowers, donations in Norm's memory may be made to Metroparks Toledo Foundation, Hospice of Northwest Ohio, or the Waterville Branch/Toledo Lucas County Library. We would like to thank our friends and family, near and far, for their love and support.
