Brenda Seagle Cannon, age 59, of Lenoir, passed away on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care in Hudson. Mrs. Cannon was born on February 10, 1959 to the late Lawrence Seagle and Mary Greer Seagle. In Addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step mom; Loree Seagle and one brother; Brian Seagle.

Brenda was an active member of Clarks Chapel Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school to many children throughout the years and made a lasting impact on them and everyone else around her. She worked at Hickory Chair until complications from ALS prevented her from working. Brenda was a friend to everyone. She loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a shining example of a Christian and loved The Lord with all her heart.

Those left to cherish her memories include her husband; Keith Cannon of the home, one daughter; Heather Hunt and husband Scott of Hudson, two brothers; Mike Seagle of Gamewell and David Seagle and wife Debby of Dallas, TX, one step brother; Jerry Chandler and wife Kim of Lenoir; three sisters; Donna White and husband Larry of Hudson, Shannon Davis and husband Clint of Kingsport, TN, Nancy Trivett of Lenoir, two step sisters; Mitzi White of Lenoir and Francine Guild of Charlotte, and two grandchildren; Cameron Hunt and Tristen Hunt.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 7, 2019 at 12:30 PM at Clarks Chapel Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Dale Payne and Pastor Roger Webb. Burial will follow at the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM prior to the service.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Keith Cannon, Neil Craig, Chris Seagle, Kenny Wilson, Cameron Hunt and Jordan Daves. Serving as Honorary Pallbearer will be Tristen Hunt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The ALS Association North Carolina Chapter at 4 N. Blount St. #200 Raleigh, NC 27601 or Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care 902 Kirkwood Ave NW, Lenoir, NC 28645.
