JOHN ANDERSON COUNTY PIONEER PASSES JULY 4

John Anderson, 82, resident of Klickitat county for the past 58 years, died at his home in Goldendale July 4. He suffered a heart attack June 29 and failed to rally.
Mr. Anderson was born in Stockholm, Sweden, June 28, 1859 and came to America at the age of 12. When he was 22 he moved to the Pleasant Valley community where he for 38 years he operated a farm. In 1921 he retired and since that time has resided in Goldendale. He is the last of eight children.
He is survived by his widow, Mae; two sons, Fred Anderson, of Caldwell, Idaho and Willam Anderson, of Goldendale; three daughters, Mrs. Lawrence Sanstrum, Mrs. Frank Riley and Mrs. Gus Trumbo, all of Goldendale; sixteen grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Funeral services for Mr. Anderson were held Sunday afternoon from the Phillips chapel with Raymond Eugene Gibbs, pastor of the Church of Christ conducting the services. Interment was in the Pleasant Valley cemetery.

OBITUARY

John Anderson, eighty-two, passed away at his home early Friday morning, July 4, of a heart attack. He became ill the previous Sunday evening was confined to his bed.
Mr. Anderson was born near Stockholm, Sweden, June 28, 1859. At the age of 12 he came to America, and at the age of 22 moved to a farm in Pleasant Valley where he farmed thirty-eight years. He then retired, and the past twenty years he lived in Goldendale. He is the last of eight children.
On February 12, 1883 be was mar-ried to Nora Larsen, who passed on April 6, 1894. Five children were born to this union, two survive him: Fred Anderson, Caldwell, Idaho, and Mrs. Lawrence Sanstrum, of Goldendale.
In February 1896 he was married to Zelda Tuttle who passed on April 9, 1922. Three children were born to this union. These survive him: Mrs. Frank Riley, William Anderson and Mrs. Gus Trumbo, all of Goldendale. Besides these he leaves six-teen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
September 8, 1924 he was married to Mrs. Mae Martin, who survives him.
Mr. Anderson obeyed the Gospel in 1885 under the preaching of Brother Jake Eshelman. He has been a faithful member of the Church of Christ, and attended the church services, even until his illness.
The burial was in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
