Ronnie B. Morris, 80, of Columbus, passed from this life at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.

Mr. Morris was born December 26, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio, the son of Bert R. and Dorothy(Kinzig)Morris. He married Faye Ann Thomas, June 29, 1958 at Centenary Methodist Church, Lebanon, IN.

Ron graduated from Lebanon High School in 1957 and then attended Lain Technical Institute.

During the Berlin Crisis in 1961, he was drafted for two years into the U.S. Army. He and Faye Ann lived in France for 18 months until his Army discharge. He then continued his architectural studies at the University of Cincinnati and received his license in 1973. He continued practicing architecture until 1977 when he joined Cummins Engine Company as an Architectural Design Manager. For the next 13 years, he led many building projects at Cummins, concluding his time there as Architectural Design Director in 1990.

In 1990, he continued his career at Rohm and Haas Company, Philadelphia, PA as the staff/corporate architect. He retired in 1999 and moved back to Columbus to be close to family. He and his wife participated in the Columbus Farmers' Market for several years. Faye Ann painted contemporary artwork and Ron helped organize and stage her artwork in refreshing style.

Ron was a loving father to their four sons, had great pride in their many grandchildren, and was fiercely devoted and loving to his wife, Faye Ann.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Faye Ann; sons, Ronnie Morris of Bangkok, Thailand, Scott(Teresa)Morris of Nashville, Jay(Beth)Morris of Trafalgar, and Dean(Lindsey)Morris on Indianapolis; a sister, Sallie Nelson of Texas; and grandchildren, Melanie Morris, Taryn Sims, Blaine Sims, Emily Morris, Will Morris, Casey Morris, Ethan Morris, Logan Morris, Maddox Morris and Jaxson Morris.

Mr. Morris was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Dick; and a daughter-in-law, Kewalin"Jokey"Morris.

A private graveside memorial service will be held at Garland Brook Cemetery at a later date.

Memorials in Ronnie's name are suggested to Our Hospice of South Central Indiana.
