Linda Faye Brewer, 59, of Lima passed away 3:48 p.m., Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at her residence. Linda was born on March 19, 1959 in Florence, Alabama to Joe Brewer and Alberta Barnett and they preceded her in death. She is survived by her long-time partner of 23 years, Tony Thompson of Lima. She is also survived by her children, Kendall Long and Latrice Long of Riverdale, Georgia, Kenneth Long, Jr of Lima and Derek (Keisha) Manley of Columbus, Ohio; her siblings, Syble Brewer of Lima, Michella Smith from Michigan, Mrs. Nina Jones of Florence, Alabama, Xavier (Latoi) Brewer of Michigan, Jennifer (Abdul Mumin) Quarcoo from Tennessee, Robert (deceased) (France) Barnett from Florence, Alabama, Billie Barnett of Lima and Etta (Leonard) Kelley of Columbus and Jean Brewer of Florence, Alabama. She also leaves eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren and her father’s wife Sandra.
She was preceded in death by her father and her mother and the following siblings, Bobby Barnett, J.T. Barnett, Joseph Brewer, Jeffrey Barnett, Bessie Wright, and Robert Barnett. She is also preceded by her daughter, Christina.
Linda was a member of Berean Bible Church here in Lima. She had been employed as a state certified nurse aid at Lima Manor for many years, she was terrific homemaker, she volunteered at the Lima Soup Kitchen. She loved to cook, dance, laugh and was known for always having a good time. She adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren and will be missed by many.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Siferd-Orians Funeral Home, 506 N Cable Rd, Lima, OH 45805.with Pastor Calvin Moore officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
