Douglas Wayne Elliott, 70, of Science Hill, Kentucky, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019.

He was born in Somerset, Kentucky on September 9, 1948, son of the late Milford Paul Elliott and Hazel Hendricks Weddle Elliott. He was a brakeman for Southern Railroad and a U.S. Army veteran, serving during Vietnam.

He is survived by one son, Douglas W. Elliott, II & (Lisa); two sisters, Sue New & (Billy) and Peggy Bastin & (Russell), three grandchildren, Gabrielle Baker, Alexander Douglas W. Elliott, III and Kierstin Jane Elliott and his beloved dog, Jack. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and a multitude of friends who were like family.

A graveside service will be held at 12:30 PM Wednesday, February 6, 2019 at Mill Springs National Cemetery with Bro. Ed Massey officiating.

Burial will be in Mill Springs National Cemetery with military honors by American Legion Post #38.
