Robert Frank Buford passed away in Rockdale, Texas on January 31, 2019 at the age of 66. He was born in Biloxi, Mississippi on December 29, 1952 to Lawrence John Buford, Jr. and Yvonne Duvic Buford.
The family moved to Austin, Texas in 1961, where Bob lived until he moved to Rockdale in 2015. Bob graduated from McCallum High School and attended The University of Texas at Austin. He then began a long career as a carpenter and remodeling contractor. Bob enjoyed spectator sports, especially cheering on his Texas Longhorns.
Bob was predeceased by his parents, Lawrence and Yvonne Buford.
Bob is survived by his best friend and partner of 20 years, Amy Carey; brothers John Buford (and wife Cindy) and Paul Buford (and wife Martha); and sister Laura Buford. He is also survived by his niece Kelly Sapstead (and husband Brent), nephew Kevin Buford (and wife Misty); great-nephews Noah Buford and Ellis Sapstead and great-niece Bailey Buford. Other survivers include several very close cousins and a host of friends.
Visitation and funeral service will be on Wednesday, February 6, at 1:00 pm at Cook-Walden Funeral Home located at 6100 North Lamar Boulevard in Austin, followed by a private burial at Assumption Cemetery.
