Born on March 25, 1952 in Frederick, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John and Julia (Ramsburg) Whitmore. Jean was a graduate of Walkersville High School class of 1971. After high school she went to work for the YMCA in Frederick for almost 20 years. She went on to work for Cargill in Frederick until they closed and she retired. She enjoyed volunteering with the Walkersville Volunteer Company for their fundraiser events and the Glade United Church of Christ. She was an avid Ravens and Orioles fan and was an animal lover.
She is survived by her brother, Ralph W. Whitmore and wife Irene; niece, Betsey Brannen and husband Mitchell; nephew, John Whitmore and wife Joanna; and great-nieces and nephews, Alex, MacKenzie, Walter and Jack.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, January 11th at 11am at Glade Cemetery in Walkersville.
