"Maria Nelson Longstreet, born in 1829, married Elisha Dismukes in 1849. Of their six children, three died as infants. The three remaining daughters married into the families of Featherston, Cavett, and Smith. One daughter, Emma (1850-1875), married Dr. John S. Featherston. After Emma died in 1875, Dr. Featherston married her first cousin, Fannie (Lucas) Eckford, in 1877. Fannie died in 1899. Dr. Featherston's third marriage was to Tennie B. Carr on January 24, 1901. There were no children form the three marriages. Another daughter, Henrietta Hull Dismukes, married John Conner Cavett in 1876. They moved from Macon to Meridian and eventually to Jackson in 1898. Of their nine children, one was named Longstreet Cavett."
