Lucy N. Patterson, 95, of Normal, passed away Tuesday (Jan. 29, 2019) at Martin Health Center, Bloomington.

She was born Jan. 8, 1924 in Springfield, Missouri, daughter of Roland and Bonnie Dake Neal. She married James E. Patterson on Jan. 18, 1947; he preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 1987. She was also preceded in death by two sisters and one brother.

Surviving are three daughters, Nancy (Fred) Lutgens, Sante Fe, N.M.; Judy (Ronald) Henderson, LeRoy and Janet Goucher, Normal; one son, Neal (Mary) Patterson, St. Louis, Missouri;. nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She loved traveling, photography, gardening and playing bridge. Lucy always seemed to make the best of her circumstances with a sunny disposition. She loved her family and made great efforts to have get-togethers to celebrate and share their lives.
