Fred Louis Osborne Sr. of Riegelwood, NC died Thursday January 31, 2019 at Lower Cape Fear Hospice Life Care Center.

He was born May 2, 1934 in Springfield, TN. son of the late Odell Osborne and Obera Allison Osborne and was preceded in death by a grandson Derrick Benton and a sister Jean Stone.

Fred was a veteran of the US Navy.

Surviving is his wife Virginia Harrelson Osborne, daughter, Connie Hall and husband Roger of Riegelwood, NC, son, Fred L. Osborne Jr. and wife Tonja of Leland NC, grandchildren, Alicia Powell, Ashley Chadwick, Brittany Hall, Jeramy Osborne and wife Brooke and Fred L. Osborne III and wife Vera. Nine great grandchildren, a sister, Betty Stratman, brothers, Harold Osborne and Bill Osborne.

A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Saturday February 2, 2019 at Andrews Mortuary Market Street Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Andrews Mortuary Market Street chapel. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.
