Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 1 p.m. at the Christ Lutheran Church near Bouton, IA. Visitation will be on Monday, February 4, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at the Carris Family Funeral Home & Cremation Care in Perry. Burial will be in the Violet Hill Cemetery at Perry, IA. Joyce "Jo" Diane Perkins was born on October 28, 1961 at Carroll, IA to Fred Junior and Mary Harriett (Freeman) Ayers. She graduated from Glidden Ralston High School and then attended Des Moines Community College with a degree in nursing. She was united in marriage to Jerry Lee Perkins in Perry, IA on April 27, 2000. All her career was spent working at the Dallas County Hospital in Perry.
Jo enjoyed surfing, spending with her grandkids, playing guitar and anything to do with the water.
In death she rejoins her, mother, Mary Ayers, sister, Sherry Ayers and a sister-in-law, Julie Ayers.
