Pedro "Pete" Flores Gonzales
March 25, 1947 ~ January 31, 2019

Pete Gonzales, 71, suddenly passed away upon his release from the hospital in San Antonio, Texas on January 31, 2019. He was born in Itasca, Texas on March 25, 1947 to Elmer and Maria Trevina Gonzales.

Pete served in the Marine Corps from 1967 to 1970. He was given many medals for his bravery, including the Purple Heart during his time served in the Vietnam War. He was honorably discharged from the Military due to an injury he suffered during the war and was a proud Marine until his dying day. Pete had a huge heart and was a father figure to so many young men that he helped. He was an excellent father who showed an endless amount of love to his children, step children and all the grand children. Pete was not married at the time of his death but had reconnected with an old flame, Otilia Noyola.

Pete leaves behind to cherish his memory his brother, Bennie; sisters, Janie and Flora; 6 children, 14 grand children, 5 great grand children; significant other, Otilia Noyola, along with several other family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Mary Gonzales; sisters, Olivia, Vera and Mary and brother, Joe Gonzales.

A Funeral Service will follow. Interment will be held at Itasca Cemetery directly following the service...CSFH
