Pearl Brooks Walker, 88, of Augusta, passed peacefully away on January 28, 2019. A visitation will be held at Christ's Sanctified Holy Church, in Perry, Georgia, on Friday, February 1, 2019, beginning at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will also be held at the church on Saturday, February 2, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. with interment to follow at the Campground Cemetery.
Pearl was born in England, Arkansas, on January 16, 1931, to the late Herbert and Nellie Wybrew Brooks. Growing up, she was the youngest of six children. As Pearl grew up, she met and married the love of her life, Samuel Richard Walker. Mrs. Walker will be remembered as being a dedicated, loving wife, and wonderful mother. Since the age of fourteen, she's been most proud of being a Servant of God. She was a member of Christ's Sanctified Holy Church. Mrs. Walker had many accomplishments during her life, she owned a children's clothing store, she was past President of the Augusta Women's Club from 1990 to 1992, and she graduated with her Juris of Doctorate at the age of fifty. Pearl was most proud of the love of sanctification and being a servant to God. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-five years, Samuel Richard Walker, and five siblings.
Left to cherish the memories they shared with Pearl are her sons, Samuel F. Walker (Robyn) and Richard K. Walker (Diane); along with five grand-children and two great-grandsons.
