Glenn R. Ward, age 62, passed away unexpectedly into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 13, 2018 at his home in Sugar Land, TX.  A native Houstonian, he was born on December 14, 1955.
Glenn graduated from Lamar Consolidated High School in Rosenberg.  He attended Houston Community College.  While attending HCC, he worked at the Richmond State School in the Workshop Educational Department.  He had a compassionate heart working with the disabled and physically challenged.
After college, Glenn began a professional career in Sales & Marketing working for Tiffany & Company in Houston.  He became a perennial Top Sales Associate in the Galleria location.  He later became an Independent Sales and Marketing Representative for several high end fragrance manufacturers working exclusively in Dillard's & Macy's Men's fragrance stores in First Colony of Sugar Land.
Glenn loved the Lord Jesus and was known for having an incredible memory of Bible verses as well as a strong prayer life.   His vibrant personality and friendly nature was something people recall most about him. He had a tremendous sense of humor and was considered the family's best comedian.   He cherished his Fort Bend County and Houston roots and was supportive of several charities, including  Fort Bend LEAF, Men Who Cook, Fort Bend County Fair and The Houston 100 Club, just to name a few.
He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Rosenberg and volunteered in facilities, landscaping and Vacation Bible School.  In 2010 he joined Sugar Land Baptist Church and loved being a member of the Adult Bible study class.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julie Laskoskie and step-father Edward M. Laskoskie, Sr. and Stanford Ward, his biological father.
He is survived by his sister Susan Bow and husband Mike of Sugar Land, brothers Michael Laskoskie of Richmond and Roger Ward of Crosby as well as his Boston Terrier Miss Annabelle.  His Booth cousin family is Margie and Charles Pollard, Balie Pollard, Jessica Kimmey, Justin Fikes, Patti Gutheinz, Melanie Menikos, Leonard and Jan Phillips, Diana Arthur, Desiree Meyers and Sarah Booth.  He will be missed by many more cousins, extended family members and friends.
Glenn was greatly loved and we will miss him but we look forward to seeing him again in heaven.  Romans 8:38-39 says, "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels or demons, nor present fears today or worries about tomorrow, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing can separate us from the love of God through Christ Jesus our Lord."
A memorial service will be held at Sugar Land Baptist Church, 16755 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77479 on Friday, September 21, 2018 at 11:00 am.  An open reception at the church will follow the service.
Honorary pallbearers are Charles Pollard, Robert Clary, Tom Dunnigan, Mark Herfort, Clyde King, Scott McMenemy, Troy Nehls, Tony Talamini, Flint Turner, and Steve Vance.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial donations can be made in Glenn's name to: Sugar Land Baptist Church 16755 Southwest Freeway, Sugar Land, TX 77479 or online at  www.sugarlandbaptist.org.
