Funeral services for Carl Edward Hampton, 86, of McComb, will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Hartman-Hughes Chapel with Bro. Donnie Coker officiating. Burial will be at Silver Creek Cemetery.

Carl E. Hampton, son of Walt Hampton and Mary (Reid) Hampton, joined his parents and daughter Mary Elizabeth Hampton in the arms of our Lord and Savior on the morning of January 30, 2019.

He was the loving husband of Hellen King Hampton and father of Virginia Hampton, Nancy Hampton Aucoin, C. Mike Hampton and wife Kimberly Hampton, Mary Elizabeth Hampton, Johnnie Hampton and wife Marie Hampton, Melissa Joy Hampton Piper and husband Curtis Piper, Thomas Hampton and wife Sarah Hampton, and Helena Hampton. Carl also leaves behind numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

After 20 years of military service including the Vietnam and Korean Wars he retired after receiving numerous medals including the Purple Heart medal.

Pallbearers will be Thomas Hampton, Michael Hampton, Sam Caston, Cary Dugas, Craig Harris, and Wallace McKenzie.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Chapel on Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.
