Myron Petrie died last Monday at his home in Popejoy following a year's illness with a complication of diseases.
Mr. Petrie was 43 years old last Christmas and was born east of Alden but for many years has lived on a farm in the vicinity of Popejoy, moving into town about a year ago, when he was compelled to give up farming because of failing health.
Deceased is survived by his wife and four children.
Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon from the Methodist church of Popejoy and interment was in the cemetery there.
