Andrew Mackey, 67, of Chattanooga, passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 in Johnson City Medical Center surrounded by loving family members.
He committed his life to Christ at an early age when he joined the First Baptist Church of Bozentown. Andrew graduated from Howard High School where he played football and ran track. After being honorably discharged from the United States Army, he worked in the field for the Electric Power Board.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Mayfield and Mary Mackey; and his eldest son, Anthony Burson.
Survivors include a son, Darren Burson; a loving daughter, Vickie Burson; a brother, Warren Mackey; two sisters, Deborah Mackey and Cynthia (Gaylon) Hughes; along with a host of grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and cousins.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 11 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.The funeral will follow at 12 noon in the chapel with Pastor Carlos Williams as the eulogist.
Burial: Chattanooga National Cemetery.
