Steven Andrew McBride NEW PALTZ- Steven Andrew McBride, 33, of New Paltz passed away unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 10, 2018, at his residence. Born April 30, 1985 in Rhinebeck; he is the son of Susan and Andrew McBride. He attended the Alternative School and graduated with a New Paltz High School diploma in 2003. Following graduation, he attended SUNY Ulster. He was an avid reader and articulate writer who had a passion for knowledge. He loved music and animals, enjoyed being in nature, and had a wry sense of humor. He is survived by his common-law wife, Renee Williams of New Paltz; mother, Susan McBride of New Paltz; father, Andrew McBride and his wife Lynda (Deon) of Saugerties; sister, Kathryn Naccarato and her husband Jared of New Paltz; maternal grandmother, Stella Hordes of New Jersey; and multiple aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. His funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2018, at the George J. Moylan Funeral Home, Inc., 2053 Route 32, Rosendale. Friends will be received at the funeral home Friday, Nov. 16, 2018 from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Steven’s memory be made to either Family of New Paltz or the Ulster County SPCA.
