Eric Lars Andrews, age 49, of Joliet, IL passed away Friday, January 25, 2019 at his home. Born March 21, 1969 in Chicago, IL.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served during the Gulf War.

He was a meat cutter for many years.

Eric was an avid Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears fan, and he had many hobbies such as listening to music, watching sports, playing the drums and most noteably he enjoyed metal detecting.

Eric was an all-around great guy and will be greatly missed by all.

Surviving are his daughter, Alexis Andrews of Manteno, IL; grand-daughter, Avery Weltmeyer; mother, Norma Jean (nee Hagstrom) Andrews of Elwood, IL; sister, Tammy (Bob) Carli of Lynwood, IL; brother, Jeff (Nancy) Andrews of Frankfort, IL; five nephews, Bruno Andrews, Erik Andrews, Christopher Andrews, Nicholas Andrews, and Joseph Antonaglia; one niece, Aja Andrews; and his longtime girlfriend, Jenni Jaksinick of New Lenox, IL.

Preceding him in death were his father, Robert Bruno Andrews; and two nephews, Jake Ryan Andrews and Robert Antonaglia.

Cremation rites have been accorded.

Memorial visitation will be at the Forsythe Gould Funeral Home: 507 S. State St., Manhattan, IL 60442, Saturday, February 2, 2019 from 12-3:00 p.m. with memorial service beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Inurnment with full military honors will be in Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be directed to the Patriot Project: 525 N. Main Street, North Canton, OH 44720 or the Abraham Lincoln Memorial Squad: 20953 E. Hoff Rd., Elwood, IL 60421.
