Richard E. "Dick" Woodward, age 78 of Findlay, passed away at 7:02 a.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center in Findlay. Richard was born in Findlay, Ohio on July 2, 1940 to the late George W. and Ethel Mae (Roller) Woodward. Richard married Sondra Brandeberry on February 14, 1960 and she survives. Also surviving are his children, Douglas (Janice) Woodward of Findlay, Kimberly (Greg) DiFrank of Powell, and Lisa (Russell) Meyer of Findlay; nine grandchildren; six great grandchildren; and siblings Thomas (Joan) Woodward of Grand Junction, CO and Sharon Brown of Findlay. Richard retired from Cooper Tire and Rubber Company after 42 years. After retiring he enjoyed golfing, standard English croquet, fishing at Lake Erie, and traveling to Mesa, Arizona where they spent 18 winters. Richard enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events. He was an avid gardner with a passion for roses. Richard was a dog lover and had many canine pets that he loved and cared for throughout his life. Visitation for family and friends of Richard will be held at 2-4:00 p.m. and 6-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 31, 2019 at KIRKPATRICK-BEHNKE FUNERAL HOME 500 Lima Ave Findlay, Ohio. Funeral service will take place at 10:00 a.m. with visitation from 9-10:00 a.m. on Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Findlay Evangelical Free Church, 2515 Heatherwood Drive, Findlay, Ohio with Pastor Dewey Harris officating. Burial will follow the funeral at Maple Grove Cemetery.
