GABLE, George Leroy, 72 years of age, went to be with the Lord on 8-13-92. George was born in Oklahoma City on May 8, 1920 and was a lifetime resident. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, and later was a Chaplain for the VFW. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maude, in February 1992. George is survived by his son, Jim Gable and wife, Dianna of Ozark, AR. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren, Becky Gable of Cal., Lawana Root of Okeene, OK, Lagina Worthy of Ark, and LaRoy Gable of Ark.; 6 great grandchildren, Stoney Worthy, William Worthy, Dianna Worthy, Bambi Root, Joshua Gable, and April Gable; 3 step-grandchildren, Rocky Root, Michael Root and Jennifer Walker; and a host of other relatives and friends. Services for George will be Monday, August 17, 1992 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of the Capitol Hill Funeral Home. Interment at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
