Joel Bryant Wilson, Sr., age 87, of Ocean Springs, Mississippi passed away on Monday, January 28, 2019.
Mr. Wilson was born on August 24, 1931 in Springfield, Tennessee to Joel and Gladys Wilson. Joel retired from the United States Air Force as a Master Sergeant. He was a resident of the Coast for the past sixty years. He served as a deacon at the Ocean Springs Church of Christ.
Joel is preceded in death by his wife, Joan Wilson; and son, Joey Wilson.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Carb (Evan) of Virginia; and two sisters, Patricia Walton and Lou Baldwin of Tennessee.
In Lieu of flowers, Family prefers donations be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation at Parkinson.org or to the Michael J. Fox Foundation at MichaelJFox.org.
Visitation will be on January 31, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. memorial service all at the Ocean Springs Chapel of Bradford-O’Keefe Funeral Home. A Graveside service will be held on February 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. at the Biloxi National Cemetery.
