Patricia (Hurd) Rusin, 59, of Perkins Street, Torrington, died Wednesday, (March 1, 2006) at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. Born March 16, 1946 in Bennington, VT, she was the daughter of Alma L. (Maloney) Hurd of Torrington and of the late Forrest Hurd. Many years ago, she owned and operated Patinum Company, a woman's boutique in Collinsville. In addition to her mother, she is survived by three daughters, Kris A. Rusin of Burlington, Connecticut, Cheryl R. Tracy of Burlington, Connecticut, Kim E. Holden of Middletown; five brothers, James Hurd of New Jersey, John Hurd of Florida, William Hurd of Terryville, Robert Hurd of Watertown, Danny Hurd of Burlington; two sisters, Barbara Bogart of Colchester, Jean Selim of Waterbury; five grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, March 4, at 11a.m. at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church, 78 Litchfield Road, Harwinton. There are no calling hours. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to The LaPorta-Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield Street, Torrington, Connecticut.
