Edward L. Castleberry, 70, of Jacksonville, died Monday, Jan. 17, 2011, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 22, 1940, in Jacksonville, the son of David and Ona Bell Ball Castleberry. He married Louise M. Liming on Dec. 29, 1984, in Jacksonville, and she survives.

Mr. Castleberry is also survived by one daughter, Jeanie Bramley of Jacksonville; one stepdaughter, Shirley Egelhoff of Jacksonville; three grandchildren, Rachel Piercy, Paige Bramley and Blake Armstrong; one stepgranddaughter, Paulann Egelhoff; one great-grandson, Aiden Covey; one sister, Loretta "Tissy" (husband, Merle) Jackson of Jacksonville; one brother, Franklin "Bub" (companion, April) Castleberry of Griggsville; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Leslie, Clarence, Frank, Orville and Charles "Chuck" Castleberry; and three sisters, Betty Newingham, Shirley Hazelwood and Annabelle Reddington.

Mr. Castleberry was a forklift operator at AACO and had also worked as a roofer. He served in the U.S. Army. He enjoyed camping at the lake, spending time with his grandkids, Budweiser and his wiener dog, Missy. He always had a joke and loved to make people laugh.

A visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday at Williamson Funeral Home. Private committal services will be held.
