Sedley – Harold Randolph Cook, 84, passed away January 28, 2019 in Southampton Memorial Hospital. Harold was a native of Southampton County, a son of the late Charlie and Lizzie Bradshaw Cook. He was also predeceased by four brothers Clarence, Bobby, Billy, and Johnnie Cook. Harold was a member of Sedley Baptist Church and a retired foreman with Union Camp Corporation after 42 years of service. He was an Army Veteran. Harold’s pleasures were woodworking, fishing, and volunteering at the Southampton Agricultural & Forestry Museum.

Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 64 years Jessie Johnson Cook; a son Troy R. Cook (Carolyn); four brothers Charles Cook (Janice), Mason Cook (Bernice), Donald Cook (Janice), and Glenn Cook (Paulette); two grandchildren Shelby Thorpe and Amanda Ritter (Andy); and four great grandchildren Garrett, Gannon, Karter, and Kolton.

A Funeral Service will be conducted at 2 PM Thursday, January 31, 2019 in Wright Funeral Home, Franklin with the Rev. Jim Foreman officiating. The burial will follow at Rosemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday and suggests that memorial donations be made to The Southampton Agricultural & Forestry Museum, 26315 Heritage Lane, Courtland, VA 23837. www.wrightfuneralhome.org
