SUGAR GROVE, Va.
Anita Kaye Ross, age 66, passed away Monday, January 28, 2019 at her home.
Anita was the best wife, mom and friend a person could ask for. She enjoyed life, especially bowling, riding on Ivan's motorcycle or cruising around in her mustang. Anita loved people and people loved her back by shopping her business in Sugar Grove, Anita's Grocery, for 20 years. Anita was very proud of being a founding member of the Sugar Grove Rescue Squad with her father-in-law, Mr. Ross, whom she lovingly cared for in his final days. Her family and friends will miss her smile, the love she shared, and her top-down, driving around, fun personality.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Vida Clark.
Anita is survived by her husband, Ivan Eugene Ross; daughter, Cynthia Osborne, both of Sugar Grove, Va.; sisters, Diane Bush and husband, Dennis, and Linda Parks, all of Marion, Va.; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Charlene Miller of Atkins, Va. and Jackie and Helen Reedy of Flatridge, Va.; and her fur-babies, Freckles and Callie.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Mike Sage officiating. Burial at Wassum Cemetery will be private. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105, or online at www.stjude.org.
