She was preceded in death by two sisters, Beulah Bernice Miller and Vonnie Sue McMillion; a brother, Everett Ray Adkins; a brother-in-law, James E. Bradford; a niece; and two nephews.
She was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker and a cornea donor.
Survivors include her husband, Bobby Eugene Adams; son Michael Eugene Adams; four sisters, Betty Nixon (husband Raymond), Ruth Massey (husband Bobby), Wanda Bradford, and Tressie Richardson (husband Troy); six brothers, Melvin Adkins (wife Sandy), Kermit Adkins (wife Charlene), Bobby Adkins (wife Sherly), Hershel H. Adkins (wife Peggy), Hubert L. Adkins (wife Vicky), and Connie Adkins (wife Chris); two brothers-in-law, Rexford McMillian Sr and Claude Frank Miller; step-mother, Virginia Adkins; aunt, Eunice Hudson; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins,
At the request of Mrs. Adams, there will be no service or visitation. Her body will be cremated. Her cremains will be placed in the Chapel of Faith Mausoleum, Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Prosperity.
